Fishery Management
Aeration
Most fisheries in the country are heavily stocked which can cause dissolved oxygen levels within the water to drop. Air flowing through the water column helps to increase the dissolved oxygen levels thereby promoting fish health and well-being. Oxygen levels are also severely impacted by the climate. For example, when there are periods of hot weather followed by storms, the oxygen level can drastically drop making it hard for the fish which can make them become distressed and in some circumstances fish can die from this.
With increased aeration the fish will become more comfortable and will continue feeding throughout the whole year, providing better fishing for anglers.
There are many options when it comes to aeration within a fishery including air diffuser systems, air injectors, splash aerators, portable generator aeration and fountains. We can talk through the various options with you to decide which solution would best suit your needs and how best to implement this.
